Why can't I assign a specific piece of content (e.g., SPI, QuestionBank)?

Some SonoSim content is not yet compatible with Assignments. For incompatible modules and DMS protocols, the existing PDF-based Module Assignments and DMS Protocol Assignments remain available separately.

What content is not available in Assignments?

You cannot currently select:

  • Study content: all SonoSim Test Preps (including SPI Test Prep) and QuestionBank

  • SonoSim LiveScan® & CaseBuilder

  • Challenge Cases

  • All Procedure modules

  • Three Advanced Clinical modules: Introduction to Breast Ultrasound, Predialysis Vascular Mapping, and Resuscitative TEE

  • Six DMS protocols: Aortic Iliac Artery, Extracranial Cerebrovascular, GYN Comprehensive, Lower Extremity Venous, Mesenteric Artery, and Upper Extremity Venous

All other modules and DMS protocols are compatible with SonoSim Assignments. For more information, see What SonoSim content can I include in an assignment?

If compatible content is missing

  1. Check your group. If you manage more than one group, confirm that the correct group is selected at the top of Manage Assignments. The selected group determines which content is available when you create an assignment.

  2. Check the source you selected. Each assignment starts from one eligible module or DMS protocol. In Select Template, choose the source that contains the work you want to assign. Select Content shows only the eligible lessons, assessments, and scanning tasks from that source. To assign work from another source, create a separate assignment.
