You cannot manually remove assignments from the My Assignments widget on your dashboard. They will be removed on their own when certain criteria are met, explained below.
If you’ve completed the assignment
The assignment will be removed from the widget once you view the Report. Click “View Report” on the widget card or the button in the My Assignments list view.
If you don’t open the report, the card will disappear seven days after the due date.
If the assignment is incomplete
The assignment card will stay in the widget while the assignment is still open and progress can be made, including after the due date if late work is allowed by your instructor.
The assignment will leave the widget when:

Access ends and no new progress can be made

Your instructor archives the assignment

Your instructor removes you from the assignment
